Shinelle, the new Head Pixie, watched her home crumble and her mother die at the hands of the relentless Brownie army. With her people scattered and no sanctuary left, her only hope rests in the hands of Jazaar. The demon prince who pulled her from the battlefield just in time. Charming, beautiful, and claiming he wants to help—and she has no choice left but to trust him.

While in hiding, stripped of her identity and forced to live a life she never wanted, Shinelle is finding that sometimes choice is an illusion. The lie we tell ourselves to make the reasons worth it.

Sliding down the banister had gotten more fun the more families Shinelle’s mother found on her trips. They each got their own floor, you see, so the banister got exactly eight feet longer with each move in. Another family was on it’s way. A note had put on the message board from Shinelle’s mother just that morning, and her aunt had added the floor accordingly. It was stretching her magic pretty far, but she hadn’t reached her limit yet as powerful as she was. The Vault: it's complicated

Okay, so this isn't a normal Vault post. It's not normal because the following document is raw, and in it's entirety. Normally I only send you part of what's in the document. I have to, because it can be a lot to dig through otherwise. This is the entire brain dump. Train of thought premise, character snapshots, test scenes, vague ideas, less than vague ideas, it's everything I normally include for projects I can't get out of my head. Normally this gets it out of my head. This time it just inspired more. An entire trilogy. When I say this is a lot I mean it. Monthly Prompt: Who Am I?

Dear Readers, First things first. This post is late, meant to come out last Friday. It's even late for the pushed deadline I promised. I have dropped the ball. This post was meant to go out on Halloween, I was late finishing it, and there's no excuses.  I could tell you I've been busy balancing my regular life with my creative life, and designing merch for the upcoming book, and that I forgot to hit publish.
