The Vault: The Order

This is what I CAN post of the brain dump on The Order. Why? Because I decided our FMC has the demon of desire. I also, for legal reasons, cannot post sexually explicit content. So this one is short. Just a blurb.

Short, but I think it's cool. Here's a summary of the dream I had, that I might just turn into my next book. Straight from The Vault.

A long time ago there were a group of people cursed so that they’d be possessed by demons and it would be passed on for eternity down their family line. The families created an Order, where they live a certain way to keep the demon possessions from overpowering them. Rituals, training, a whole way of life. 
It’s been long enough that only the families themselves still know about it and the rest of the world largely doesn’t believe it. 
A girl is possessed by her family demon. She’s not allowed to even touch weapons. Then mercenaries come to steal the family treasure, which helps keep the demon at bay. 
The girl fights back, both to protect her family treasure and her sisters. 
One of the mercs holds her over the edge of a cliff to get rid of her for fighting back when the demon takes over. Just enough to save her life. 
The merc decides she’d be a useful member of their team and offers for her to join the group and she decides to do it. To see the world or something. 
They go off and she notices that he has an Order emblem. I see it as a crescent with the top of the curved part on a bar, so she thinks he’s in the Order too. 
She revels in the violence of the merc crew and they fall into a toxic sort of love. She and her demon learn to exist together. Then she finds out he’s a hunter. He tracks down members of the Order and kills them. That’s where the dream ended. 
Part of the dream is that they get an emblem for each family’s practice of suppression they’ve mastered. Since she has the demon hers are black, and she has three. There are eight total secrets.
Her demon is desire, and let's make Desire gay. And also a woman. Lady shadow daddy would be hot.
Maybe the demons represent this world’s deadly sins, but there are eight of them. So my eight deadly sins would be pride, greed, lust, envy, gluttony, wrath, sloth, and ignorance.

The Vault: it's complicated

Okay, so this isn't a normal Vault post. It's not normal because the following document is raw, and in it's entirety. Normally I only send you part of what's in the document. I have to, because it can be a lot to dig through otherwise. This is the entire brain dump. Train of thought premise, character snapshots, test scenes, vague ideas, less than vague ideas, it's everything I normally include for projects I can't get out of my head. Normally this gets it out of my head. This time it just inspired more. An entire trilogy. When I say this is a lot I mean it. Monthly Prompt: Who Am I?

Dear Readers, First things first. This post is late, meant to come out last Friday. It's even late for the pushed deadline I promised. I have dropped the ball. This post was meant to go out on Halloween, I was late finishing it, and there's no excuses.  I could tell you I've been busy balancing my regular life with my creative life, and designing merch for the upcoming book, and that I forgot to hit publish.
